Markers In The Road

Chelsey locates a pile of photo albums on the shelf. She dusts them off, then pulls one out from the middle. The journey- seeker begins to flip through in search of times past. She discovers a cluster of photos from a previous mission’s trip. Chelsey smiles as she remembers the assignment. The picture was a reflection of yet another, marker in the road.

The journey is full of experiences, filled with highs and lows. This particular photo mentioned above, reminded the savvy traveler of a joyful moment. She was able to take herself back to a place of peace and tranquility. In the hustle and bustle of life, it is important to create markers. They help you through adverse situations because you can steal away to regroup. The mountain tops were created to carry you through the valleys. Whether you are struggling professionally or personally today, think back to a time where you were blessed to experience a “win.” How did it make you feel? How can it help you through today? Motivation is key. The only thing constant in life is change. With that being said, it is imperative that you find creative ways to encourage yourself. It’s time you look back at your markers in the road. When you do this, you’ll realize just how many battles you’ve already overcome.
